Hunter Biden told his 'best friend' Devon Archer to get a burner phone, three days before Archer met with then-VP Joe Biden at the White House, shocking emails show.

'Buy a cell phone from a 7/11 or CVS tmrw and ill do the same,' Hunter wrote in the explosive April 13, 2014 message.

Days later Archer would meet with Joe in the West Wing, White House records show, and he and Hunter would announce their board seats at allegedly corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma later that month.

Hunter's curious request of Archer to buy a burner phone came at the end of a shocking email discussing their business strategy, that also hinted at Hunter's touting of his influence over his VP father - who he described as 'my guy' - in his business dealings.

Records from his laptop show Hunter kept 13 phone numbers active on his AT&T account - and some may have even belonged to Joe Biden.

The President paid for the phone lines for a period, according to Hunter's assistant Katie Dodge.

In a January 2019 email, she wrote: 'I spoke with Hunter today regarding his bills. It is my understanding that Hunt's dad will cover these bills in the short-term as Hunter transitions in his career.'

The 'burner phone' email may have sparked questions for staffers of the House Oversight Committee, who interviewed Archer under penalty of perjury on Monday.

The committee also had the power to grill Archer on the disposable phone numbers, and may subpoena records of communications on them.

Dodge listed the 13 numbers in a spreadsheet of his monthly bills sent with her January 17 2019 email, highlighting the $1,200-per-month total bill for the lines.

'Only 3 belong to the girls,' she wrote, referring to Hunter's daughters, Naomi, Maisy and Finnegan. 'Are all of the numbers in use?'

In a September 20, 2016 email, Hunter's colleague at his Rosemont Seneca consultancy, Joan Mayer, asked about his phone bills, and described one number ending 3313 paid for by Hunter as belonging to 'dad'.

Hunter's business partner Eric Schwerin also wrote that Hunter spent $190.02 per month for an AT&T line for 'JRB', Joe Biden's initials, in a December 7, 2016 email listing Hunter's bills.

Hunter wrote in another text to Dodge: 'My dad has been using most lines on this account which I've through the gracious offerings of Eric have paid for past 11 years.'

The earliest records for the 3313 number on Hunter's laptop show it was associated with an iPhone 4 bought in July 2011.

In May 2014, around the time his Burisma board seat was announced, the AT&T sent Hunter an 'Excessive International Data Alert', warning that the phone was using data services abroad.

However, by June 2018, it appears Hunter had the phone number back from his father.

He used it to text with a prostitute called 'Cheryl' and put the phone number on a booking for The Architect hotel in Washington DC on June 12 that year.

AT&T texts to Hunter's cell phone sent in 2018 and 2019 list the calls, texts and data use on each of his phone lines.

Though there are no text messages stored on the laptop for some of the lines, the AT&T notifications show that hundreds of megabytes of data was being used on those phones.

One explanation could be that Hunter was using these extra numbers for encrypted text conversations on burner phones - as he suggested to Archer in his 2014 email.

The First Son downloaded sixteen private messaging apps prior to 2019, many of which used encryption, according to an analysis of Hunter's laptop by right wing nonprofit Marco Polo.

The apps included Signal, Chinese messaging app WeChat, and Wickr, an encrypted app once favored in the criminal underworld.

The Wickr app did not appear on the iPhone backup included in the laptop, but had previously downloaded onto the phone from iCloud, suggesting it had been installed and then deleted, Marco Polo's analysis concluded.

In the 2014 burner phone email Hunter also touted his influence over his father - the vice president - who he described as 'my guy' in his business dealings.

At the time, Joe was scheduled to make an official trip to Ukraine, and was tasked with leading international relations with the Eastern European nation.

'The announcement of my guys upcoming travels should be characterized as part of our advice and thinking- but what he will say and do is out of our hands,' Hunter wrote to Archer in the disturbing April 2014 email.

'In other words it could be a really good thing or it could end up creating too great an expectation. We need to temper expectations regarding that visit.'

He even discussed getting the law firm he worked for, Fit Smart review Boies Schiller Flexner (BSF), to lobby US government officials for Burisma.

Devon Archer is testifying before the House of alleged links between then VP Joe Biden and son's murky web of international business contacts. Archer is pictured arriving to court Monday morning

'BSF can actually have direct discussions at [the Department of] state, energy and NSC [National Security Council],' Hunter wrote. 'They can devise a media plan and arrange for legal protections and mitigate US domestic negative press regarding the current leadership if need be.'

'The contract should begin now- not after the upcoming visit of my guy. That should include a retainer in the range of 25k p/m w/ additional fees where appropriate for more in depth work to go to BSF for our protection. Complete separate from our respective deals re board participation.'

But the President's son appeared keen to not fall foul of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) that bans unregistered foreign lobbying.

'They need to know in no uncertain terms that we will not and cannot intervene directly with domestic policy makers, and that we need to abide by FARA and any other US laws in the strictest sense across the board,' he said in the email.

In the first public hearing for his criminal case on Wednesday over tax crimes, prosecutors revealed that they are still investigating and could file further charges against Hunter over potential FARA violations.
